Well we're old enough now...
Who: Elora, Ixi, Jaeger, a tavern?
When Summer after they turn 21?
What: The kids decide it's time to build their own legacy of adventure.
The tavern was of the 'adventurer' breed. Some old adventurer decided to retire and built a tavern FOR adventurers in the middle of nowhere. It was a great place to resupply, heal up, head back out from, get mail at, you name it and retired owner had thought if it.
Better have since the old badger claimed to have been a rather surly adventurer for decades, damn well better know what all an adventurer needed!
It was also a great place to pick up jobs or to eavesdrop on others heading out toward this and that old myth; they'd been here two days and so far all that was available to non-seasoned adventurers was your run of the mill terrorizing the local goblin gang or finding some herbs and such. Great for building up connections sure, if you needed them but they weren't local enough to need to run to a local hedgewitch, or gentle enough not to squash gang members irreparably so those were right out.
She was perched casually in the rafters, mainly because there'd one too many 'casual' offers to take her along as an exotic for this or that raid who needed an in, and well, she wasn't the exotic thief type. Not in the least. This was too good a place to have any slavers in disguise, but the 'ditch those guys your with and be our babe' was kinda old after a while.
Granted, if any of the current lot had SEEN Ixi they'd know no one would dump them for some rough fighter types, but Ixi had been 'studying' with a few other bards for hours now.
Yup.
She'd give it another hour or two for something interesting to show up then go poke Jaeger in the stables. He'd wanted work space after some poor phrasing to a bar maid hadn't gone over well so...
...yeah. Doing great so far on the 'you know what? Let's go adventure like our parents did' front of things!
