This is my world
Who: Orchid?
When: Some time in the miasma world.
What: A hybrid and her home!
She paced slowly along the edge of the marshland, feet bare as she slogged, testing the waters. Still clean here, the filters were working and the safflowers were coming along, small, white petals bobbing slowly in the fetid breeze. That was good news, safflower and mallowroot would make the utterly detestable cough syrups that were boiled up in fall so much easier for people to swallow. Her Master still didn't know about the village down the thorn path, he was not...social. He liked his games and things on his terms, but growing things for other people in his carefully filtered garden?
Tsk, never.
Honestly he didn't even realize that the miasma didn't effect her. The damp was good for her, and she was plant enough to thrive instead of die. The mild intoxicating effect of her skin would probably shift from drug to poison if she lived in the miasma but...
...visiting she could do. He grew bored and slept more often these days, one seemingly immortal monster waiting for the world to get interesting again. She could steal away and help.
She liked being able to do something. Like the little stream that ran along the thorn path, she'd diverted it from their home garden so the water was clean and fresh for those further down the way. Clean water was nothing to sneer at here. Nor clean, un-mutated plants even if she could only bring them by the handful sometimes...
Her creator had told her, before he left to try to forge another creature that could live in this new world, that she was special. She needed to help...she believed that yes. This was her world, she had to help others survive in it.
That was why today after checking her plants she drew her cloak tight, belting it with a cord and knife sheath before choosing a new path. She check the wild lands...often.
Just in case.
Last time she'd found a flower that was now growing in the far edge of her garden, all knife edges petals and spots, she'd adored it, even if it was not an old world pure strain. New things were beautiful too. Who knew what she'd find today?

Re: Flower Power
"I'll have to check them out." He nodded.
Corvus nodded. ::I can understand that.:: Her fingers felt... so cold...
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::What's going on? I can feel her but I can't see her right now...:: Markux asked softly.
He's far, she noted softly in Corvus's ear. See how hard it is to touch him? It was a strain to keep their fingers straight but...if they could force themselves through that, well...
Re: Flower Power
"Sure." He smiled.
::We're finding Jendiss.::
::What's that?:: HE frowned There were... flowers invading the magic scape?
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::Ah...okay then.:: yup.
Hmmmmm, blood tie. Your Jendiss has kin very tightly tied to plants... she mused softly, forcing their fingers those last few inches to touch the Jendiss image, a shock rippling through the scape around them.
Re: Flower Power
"Certai....nly... di dyou feel that?"
::Oh... wow...::
Re: Flower Power
* * *
There, you're bound again, at least enough to feel and find him... Since she was tangling Corvus's fingers in Jendiss's essence firmly and sealing it with starlight.
Re: Flower Power
"I dunno... felt like static electricity ran up my back."
:Thank you.:: He noted.
Re: Flower Power
* * *
I hope you find all you're looking for. It's been...pleasant seeing people again.
Re: Flower Power
::I suppose so." He nodded kissing her back.
::Of course, thank you...::
Re: Flower Power
* * *
She laughed softly and...faded away, leaving just the faint hints of Markux in her place yes. ::Gods that was...:: Weird. interesting. All of the above?
Re: Flower Power
"SUre." He nodded.
::Yes it was.::
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::Gods you've got a direct line to Jendiss now. He's...oh dear gods he's so lost,:: he always felt emotion over everything else and what he was getting from that new link was...depressing.
Re: Flower Power
"I guess we'll see." He nodded.
::Yes he is... its painful...::
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::We'll...we'll help.:: Hopefully. Dear gods what if this was the last straw to the man properly self destructing though?
Re: Flower Power
"Or we're both insane."
::I hope we do....::
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::No chance to turn back now...:: he admitted softly.
Re: Flower Power
"I would be too so I doubt it." He laughed.
::Not unless I simply come join you and we fade together...::
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::We wouldn't fade love we'd be frozen...:: he noted quietly.
Re: Flower Power
"I'm not sure I am." He shrugged.
"Not if we died."
Re: Flower Power
* * *
::If you came to join me here love you'd have to reach into the ice. And I'll not support your suicide love. I can't.::
Re: Flower Power
"No, instead I face the very real possibility of being alone and having my bond shattered more than it already was and forever being unable to have any other kind of relationship.::
Re: Flower Power
Re: Flower Power
"This is the first time you've spoken to me in over a year Markux..." He noted softly.
Re: Flower Power
Re: Flower Power
"Yes." He nodded. "I thought you were dead until I found you."
