The time will come...
Who: Any
When: The height of Egyptian civilization.
What: Saving Elora's life.
Elora stretched her wings to the sky and yawned, staring
upward; it was such a brilliantly blue sky...clean and empty of anything she was used to. This was the first day she'd managed to be on her feet; time travel was hard on a body, especially as far back as they'd gone. She was honestly shocked her mother had managed to be up and BUILD A TEMPLE prior...
...granted it was Dahlia. The woman managed miracles on short notice. It would be intimidating if it wasn't so useful honestly.
Egypt.
Land of sands and...green lush plant life. They had arrived before the death cult had poisoned the Nile Valley; all the better honestly. She wouldn't do well in a dead land. Not after her mate had attacked her no...
The scars were a silvery river down her left side. Monstrous, painful...gods it had hurt. She idly traced fingers down the scars and watched people mill beyond the walls. He was here; somewhere. Her mate. Mother had promised and it made her...breathe again. She'd been dying they said, hence the extreme measures. Sh just say it as...and extension. A brief, clean moment between nightmares. She'd had a lot of those recently. Ever since being bitten her mind was...full of darker things.
But the light didn't hurt.
Gods the sun didn't hurt and she took that as a good sign.
"We taught you the language while you slept," Markux noted softly behind her. "We all learned. Here we can...find a better way."
"...thank you father," she breathed, still staring up at the sun. "If I fail..."
"You won't child. We won't lose you."
She...really wished they'd face facts. That they'd focus on her twin yet...here they were. "I'll try. Jaeger's going to hate it..."
"So he's told us," Markux agreed quietly.
"...does he hate me?"
"Never dear."
She wasn't certain she believed him honestly but she let it go for now as she aired her wings. "People will be confused."
"Let them be," Markux chuckled softly. "We're good at making people listen anyway."
"I'm sorry to have scared you."
"Never dear, just keep breathing," he smiled, touching her hair. "And be with Corvus when we say hello to to the people?"
...ah. "Of course." How not? This was Egypt after all, animal mixes...were a good thing.

Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"Ah." He noted.
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"I know." he nodded.
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"Alright, lets go inside." he smiled. "My mother is in there."
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"They cant have your blood." He hissed.
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"No dear, mates are generally off limits." Shinose noted from the doorway. "Please, come in."
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"Of course." he nodded. "The table has a heater under it. Come, sit. Would you like tea?"
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"Mmm, yes." he smiled kissing her shoulder.
Jaeger sat opposite her.
Re: Egypt
Orchid settled beside Jaeger gratefully, then Dahlia grinned, "hello I'm his mother."
Re: Egypt
"That's my mother, Dahlia. My sister and her father will be back soon and you can meet them?"
Re: Egypt
"All my husbands are all their fathers, it's complicated," Dahlia grinned.
"Ah."
Re: Egypt
"Genetically he's not but he is as much my father as the other two. They raised us together."
Re: Egypt
"I'll take you back when we leave the boys for training?" Dahlia chuckled.
Re: Egypt
"Boys?" Jaeger blinked.
Re: Egypt
"Ah, shall I be leaving?" Ana asked her mate.
Re: Egypt
"First I'd heard of it but..." Shinose noted.
Re: Egypt
Re: Egypt
"Oooh, if you'd like to go you should." Shinose smiled. "You should take the living petal! I'm sure she could find new flowers for her temple."
Re: Egypt
"I...need to be home though?" Orchid blinked.
"Yes, we'll stay in Egypt for a few days and show Ana the temples then come back for the festival."
"...I would like to find new silks," Ana admitted. "For you my lord mte and for me..."
