What: Observations and worries.

"Yes, you've got it, one and two and three and four..." Markux chuckled softly, leading their child in a gentle twirl down on the library floor. Dahlia was leaning on a banister above, watching intently as their son...child...daughter? learned to dance. They were so different in dance lessons, so delighted in motion...

"Spying?" Jendiss chuckled softly behind her.

"Thinking," she admitted with a wince, looking over her shoulder at him. "It's...apparent that I may have made mistakes."

"Mistakes?" he blinked, coming to lean next to her.

"...we..." she sighed, leaning on him for support. It was nice, these new years of being able to touch others. Very nice. "We don't breed. It's nearly impossible for us, we don't have children, I think that led to...too many souls in one body."

"Wait...what?" Jendiss blinked.

"We're high predator infections, doctor," she chuckled softly. "Children would just compound the issue we can be. And yet...we have a living, breathing, beautiful child that's two thirds vampire. A beautiful child that holds themselves very differently at times, and whose eyes change color when they are dancing or drawing....or rarely when there's knives." She'd seen Jaeger's lovely brown shift to clear, brilliant blue, and then rarely to flashing, drowning gold. It was breathtaking. And heart wrenching. "Grace belongs to our blue eyed child, though Jaeger is not graceless, just more function over form. And the golden eyed child is a hunter, you can see it in the edges...but so rarely there I almost thought I'd imagined them the first few years."

"So..." Jendiss winced, looking down, "they're...trapped as what? Alternate personalities?"

"Sharing," she decided. "Stuck sharing the single body my body managed despite all odds."

"Dear gods...does Markux?"

"Know? Likely, he...acts very differently at times around our...children. I think he' providing what they each need from him? But is too supportive a love to call them out or make them feel unwelcome." No, Markux would let them each live as they chose and be delighted when they all felt confident enough to introduce themselves. He was a patient creature their love.

"You're...sure?"

"I think you could feel them, the edges of them if you knew to look," she sighed. "You are an exquisitely sensitive doctor. Feeling souls shouldn't be outside your ability if you know..." sh sighed. Confirmation might be nice? She didn't NEED it, not after all the observations pointed very clearly toward the fact but...it'd be nice?

"My scientific wife telling me to quantify a soul," he teased gently.

"Souls are energy, just another science love," she sighed. "Just another science that may hurt our children in the long run. I have to think." On how to fix it.

If it could be fixed. There had been research and forging in the last war that led to bodies but not ones welcoming to souls, no. And she rather thought their genetics would be necessary...

"What if..."

"Our children are not mad," she noted, flicking a glance at him. "It is not split personalities. I have checked."

"How?!"

"Tower and I can see things together at...need." It had still felt like an invasion to check for splintering in their childrens minds but...no. "No madness."

"What do we...do?"

She sighed, glancing down as Markux laughed and corrected a stance gently, "we let them live. They are ours. And when they feel safe enough we have them all named and living what moments with us they can while I research."

It was odd living as a triplet in a single body. They were managing... for now at least. Ixi adored dancing and art and quite a few of the softer things in life. Jeager didn’t quite understand it but it made them happy. The body fit Jeager best it seemed the wrong gender for Elora and the wrong proportions for Ixi. Still, they were managing. How not?

Dahlia often found reasons to drag her children up to see stars? "How are you all feeling?" She finally asked. They'd still all been saying they were Jaeger so...

“All...?” Jeager blinked.

"All three of you," she noted gently.

He... froze a moment. “I... what?”

[petal_storm]

"Mmmmhmmmm. You don't need to hide dears."

“But....”

[petal_storm]

"But what?" She chuckled, watching the stars above.

“I don’t know...” he huffed puffing his cheeks out in annoyance.

She poked one of his cheeks as a matter of course and chuckled, "as you like then my young hunter."

“It’s.... I don’t know how to explain it.”

[petal_storm]

"Just start anywhere dear, start and keep talking, don't worry about beginnings or sense."

“I... things need to make sense!”

"And they do, eventually, so.etimes you just have to put all the data out to look at before you can find the sense..."

He really needed it to make sense now though.

"Then start talking to me about the part blocking sense, I may have answers." It was her job as a parent after all.

'All of you are. You've several souls in one body I'm afraid."

“Wait really?”

[petal_storm]

"Yes, I wouldn't say it unless I was sure dear. You share with two others, though the body itself is yours by rights. I think what I am prevented the other two from being born and they didn't want to wait."

“Hmmmm...”

"The girl is...quietest though. Tenuous. I worry about her fading."

“How do we stop it?”

[petal_storm]

"For now your father's and I research getting vessels or bodies, and we make sure all of you get chances to be yourselves, doing things you each love helps."
