An odd foundation
Who: Orchid, Magnus, any?
When: About a month after she arrived injured at the spa.
What: A grand re-opening.
The invitation was beautifully written on actual paper, delivered in an actual envelope and with hand illustrated margins showing thorny vines, sands, and battle grounds. A true piece of archaic penmanship likely courtesy of Orchid and it added a touch of high end grandeur to an open invite. And 'open' meant 'anyone who wishes to experience an evening of mingling and new, far more interesting definition of spectator combat'. The spa likely recieved the widest invitation, as it included any employee (or owner) thereof and any date they wished to bring.
A subtle way to demand Markux's presence, but also allow his old pet, Poppy, to attend.
After all Poppy had to miss being properly assured of his place instead of being a mere 'employee'. Such a disappointment that really. He'd had high hopes for Poppy's ability to crack Markux's facade. Ah well, he could still provide opportunity to reassure the boy of his place in life.
There was comfort in having a role after all, Orchid assured him of such, though she was quite capable enough to replace many less efficient (and caring) people he'd employed prior. It truly was something else to his comfort and entertainments to have a creature that adored him and put his pleasures paramount. Money couldn't buy a dedication like that.
Regardless, the upcoming reopening of the arena in C was the talk of the town, and a hell of a conversational topic in the spa as well. 'High dress' was the listed code, though all other amenities, from food and drink, to 'mild' drugs were provided sans charge. Tonight was an exhibition after all, a way to display WHY they should return and spend money betting later.
Magnus himself was dressed in simple, dark green silk tunic and pants; Orchid was his ornamentation wearing delicate gold chains and stones only in a wash of light and glitter over purple skin as they greeted people and mingled out of the pristine sands. It was the largest area for a party of course, but there were several raised platforms showcasing some of the intended lineup, and more empty ones for patrons to add fighters to later.

::Yes. He’s looking at my dragon. Not sure he sees it clearly but he sees it.:: he noted deftly stepping out of the way once again and making Shark make some sort of grinding noise. ::Ahh, he wants to beat me. He’s not used to not getting what he wants.::
::Yeah… who is this guy? Where did he come to?::
no subject
::He claims to be spa security, so connection through Poppy?::
no subject
::What…?:: he blinked.
::He does smell like the spa but also like sea salt and sand.::
no subject
::Hmmm, let's chat with Orchid tonight.::
no subject
::You want him to fight…?::
::Yeah… he seems… clean though. Sharp and dangerous but clean.::
no subject
::Clean is good, which hopefully means Orchid already has thoughts on him.::
no subject
::But could reflect poorly on Orchid…:: he hmmmed.
::That’s a plan. Shark is… getting mad.::
no subject
::Mmmhmmm. We can gas the cages? The healthier ones there are all sleeping...::
no subject
::Alright. Rile him up and watch Orchid tear him apart.:: Gods that made him hot to imagine. Mmmmm yes please.
::I don’t think we’re allowed to gas the pretty boy though.:: Gi frowned.
no subject
::...you can get close enough to toss a mask field?:: he sighed.
no subject
::Mmm, and that growl does things to me.:: he chuckled side stepping in a far more obvious manner and smirking.
Shark…. Was practically foaming at the mouth now yes.
::Okay. We’ll do that.:: Gi nodded putting one on himself.

Go warning beeped the cleaning team then blinked, ::cameras show pretty boy smiling?::
no subject
::Oh yes.:: he chuckled and gave a coy littl tilt of the head as if to ask “what’s wrong”.
::He’s making it obvious he’s playing with him I think.::

Shark snarled and grabbed a hidden stun baton to swing at Jeager.
::Super juiced stun baton.:: Jeager tsked dodging back gracefully with a small chuckle. “ You’re out of your league here and you’re too far gone with the prion disease to realize it.” He sighed letting the poorly balanced swing topple the top heavy man onto his own weapon.
Jeager crouched waiting until unconsciousness was coming on before rolling him off of it. “Tsk, tsk. You should learn how to use a weapon before wielding it.” He noted grabbing the stun baton with his bare hand and snapping it as the shark slipped under.

::Hmmm… he couldn’t take his own toy. He went too deep. Pull him back through me?::
::Dammit…::
no subject
::Sadly common, can't take what he serves,:: poser tough guy. Rial snorted, unimpressed.
no subject
::Can you reach him through me? Wake him up enough to make an appearance later?::
::Got it.:: Gi huffed starting toward them.

Go started trotting along the connecting corridor to meet up with his twin, ::I'll escort if he gets pissy.::
no subject
::That’s okay. They see me anyway.:: he noted.
no subject
no subject
::He’s made a convenient blind spot for himself here.:: Jeager chuckled.

::Just the jackals.::
