The time will come...

Who: Any
When: The height of Egyptian civilization.
What: Saving Elora's life.

Elora stretched her wings to the sky and yawned, staring
upward; it was such a brilliantly blue sky...clean and empty of anything she was used to. This was the first day she'd managed to be on her feet; time travel was hard on a body, especially as far back as they'd gone. She was honestly shocked her mother had managed to be up and BUILD A TEMPLE prior...

...granted it was Dahlia. The woman managed miracles on short notice. It would be intimidating if it wasn't so useful honestly.

Egypt.

Land of sands and...green lush plant life. They had arrived before the death cult had poisoned the Nile Valley; all the better honestly. She wouldn't do well in a dead land. Not after her mate had attacked her no...

The scars were a silvery river down her left side. Monstrous, painful...gods it had hurt. She idly traced fingers down the scars and watched people mill beyond the walls. He was here; somewhere. Her mate. Mother had promised and it made her...breathe again. She'd been dying they said, hence the extreme measures. Sh just say it as...and extension. A brief, clean moment between nightmares. She'd had a lot of those recently. Ever since being bitten her mind was...full of darker things.

But the light didn't hurt.

Gods the sun didn't hurt and she took that as a good sign.

"We taught you the language while you slept," Markux noted softly behind her. "We all learned. Here we can...find a better way."

"...thank you father," she breathed, still staring up at the sun. "If I fail..."

"You won't child. We won't lose you."

She...really wished they'd face facts. That they'd focus on her twin yet...here they were. "I'll try. Jaeger's going to hate it..."

"So he's told us," Markux agreed quietly.

"...does he hate me?"

"Never dear."

She wasn't certain she believed him honestly but she let it go for now as she aired her wings. "People will be confused."

"Let them be," Markux chuckled softly. "We're good at making people listen anyway."

"I'm sorry to have scared you."

"Never dear, just keep breathing," he smiled, touching her hair. "And be with Corvus when we say hello to to the people?"

...ah. "Of course." How not? This was Egypt after all, animal mixes...were a good thing.

"Most aren't true masochists."

"I can make a door. I tried before but temple didn't like it." He smiled. He wasn't as good as Ixi with that kind of attention he was sure but... he tried so.

"Mmmm, yes. Markux was...very careful with those allowed to request her for spa treatments. Another reason I pegged her as a mate instead just...one last straw for your sanity."

Well, to be fair Ixi could probably qualify as an Olympian? But Orchid wasn't complaining in the least?

"What happened?"

That was good, he was glad he was at least competent. Still, he wanted to make her scream happily.

"...nothing? He just knew would have trouble saying no if some asked to hurt her and he always held the ideal his people could choose?"

Ah, a touch of power play and desire added an edge didn't it? Sadly was a quiet this k who let the garden around them flush and moan as it were?

"Why did I kill her?"

"Mmm, you alright?"

"...because she was afraid. You we're not a spa patron that day, you were war hunting, and she turned the corner as the building was being evacuated. She hit your wires and she was frightened and in hunt mode you zero in on weakness such as that."

"I was hunting her? Why?"

"Mm, good." He smiled. "What else would you like?"

"...not at first no, not from what I can tell, another, but the scent of her bleeding...replaced your target when you caught it."

"Let me watch you above me..." She begged softly.

"I see..." he sighed. "And you went back and... killed me? To stop me? What did I do to her? While I had her... does she remember it?"

"Absolutely." He smiled climbing over her and lining up. Gods that felt good. A bit hard and fast yes since she was well lubricated yes. "Too much?" He groaned.

"It never happened. I went back before that week entirely." And she didn't think he needed the details only she remembered hmmmm?

"Oh..." Oh gods? Seemed silly to say that but she had nails dragging down his chest as she grinned yes. "No, no, this is good." She should be worn out after last night but...

"You're not going to tell me are you?" He sighed.

Jaeger moaned shivering as she got her nails on him. "That feels incredible." He panted.

"If you insist I will, but you will dislike it and in your saner mind you'd have honestly killed yourself before going that gar."

She moaned, a touch...loudly in fact...and wrapped a leg up over his hip yes. "Better...better morning now..." yes.

"You're sure it won't repeat itself?"

Jaeger grinned, "much better." He agreed. "I'm so close..." He groaned.

"I'm certain. You're not that person and cannot be now."

Hey, what was life without really intense quickies? She bit her lip on a scream, arching against him hungrily.

"I will... try and content myself with that." He sighed.

"Ohhh." Oh. Yes, he was coming unraveled at that yes slumping over her most of his weight on his elbows as he worked on getting his breath back yes.

"If you decide you must know, and tell me so at any later date, I will give you the full account."

Oh yes, that more than did it for her too, leg slipping off his hip as she smiled contently, "ohhh yes. Lovely man..."

"Thank you."

Jaeger smiled. "I'm glad, i... thought I was going to lose you."

"Of course. I know some do not do well with less information."

"Ahhh, I'm yours to lose?" she giggled softly.

"Unfortunately." He agreed.

"I thought I fucked up."

"Yes," she sighed.

"I do not know that term?"

"But she doesn't remember it?"

"I messed up."

"No. It never happened."

"You left," she agreed softly. "Do not do that without a goodbye next time?"

"Okay." he nodded. "Thank gods..."

"I'm sorry..." He nodded. "It didn't occur to me that leaving notes wasn't a thing people do in this time."

"Yes. There are things...many never need to live. That is why I change things at times."
