The time will come...
Who: Any
When: The height of Egyptian civilization.
What: Saving Elora's life.
Elora stretched her wings to the sky and yawned, staring
upward; it was such a brilliantly blue sky...clean and empty of anything she was used to. This was the first day she'd managed to be on her feet; time travel was hard on a body, especially as far back as they'd gone. She was honestly shocked her mother had managed to be up and BUILD A TEMPLE prior...
...granted it was Dahlia. The woman managed miracles on short notice. It would be intimidating if it wasn't so useful honestly.
Egypt.
Land of sands and...green lush plant life. They had arrived before the death cult had poisoned the Nile Valley; all the better honestly. She wouldn't do well in a dead land. Not after her mate had attacked her no...
The scars were a silvery river down her left side. Monstrous, painful...gods it had hurt. She idly traced fingers down the scars and watched people mill beyond the walls. He was here; somewhere. Her mate. Mother had promised and it made her...breathe again. She'd been dying they said, hence the extreme measures. Sh just say it as...and extension. A brief, clean moment between nightmares. She'd had a lot of those recently. Ever since being bitten her mind was...full of darker things.
But the light didn't hurt.
Gods the sun didn't hurt and she took that as a good sign.
"We taught you the language while you slept," Markux noted softly behind her. "We all learned. Here we can...find a better way."
"...thank you father," she breathed, still staring up at the sun. "If I fail..."
"You won't child. We won't lose you."
She...really wished they'd face facts. That they'd focus on her twin yet...here they were. "I'll try. Jaeger's going to hate it..."
"So he's told us," Markux agreed quietly.
"...does he hate me?"
"Never dear."
She wasn't certain she believed him honestly but she let it go for now as she aired her wings. "People will be confused."
"Let them be," Markux chuckled softly. "We're good at making people listen anyway."
"I'm sorry to have scared you."
"Never dear, just keep breathing," he smiled, touching her hair. "And be with Corvus when we say hello to to the people?"
...ah. "Of course." How not? This was Egypt after all, animal mixes...were a good thing.

Re: Egypt
"Yes. Ah, he's... very laid back."
::Would you like me to? I can't tell if you asked because you wanted me there or because you felt like you should ask me.::
::I can feel you facepalming... I … didn't want to wake her up... should I have? Not moving her out... visiting. I have to be here for a few days probably.::
He tried to covey where he was was… very moist and humid? It had started to rain?
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...I think it's...a bad idea to be alone right now. Very.:: At least she was honest about the fact?
::It's kind of the equivalent of 'gee that was fun but eh more important things now bye' you know? It's...callous?:: May be the best way to put it? ::Plus notes are not common in this time and she may not think to look for one?::
Ohhhh....rain. He really wanted that little vine to grow and stretch through all his hair right?
Re: Egypt
"Yes. Ixi was a white without the infection before." He nodded.
::Alright, I'll come.:: Corvus smiled following after her.
::Shit... you're right.:: Fuck now he was worried yes. ::Should I go to her?:: He felt like he could? Or hey... he followed the tendrils back and.... offered a gate? Heeey. There was something to be said for having access to some of the covens power.
He touched the little vine yes. He liked it.
Re: Egypt
* * *
She wasn't smiling, no, she looked more haunted than anything, but it was....easy enough to trace a scent of injury to a yearling water deer?
::That would make things worse right now I think, popping back up suddenly. You need to think out an apology to a goddess you know?::
The vine lined his hair. HE WAS NEVER GOING TO HAVE VINE FREE HAIR AGAIN HAH. As for a portal though, it...hid something. Something burning and strong with a sound like slithering leaves. Protections on the temple probably since the strands weren't moving THROUGH a red on premises now?
Re: Egypt
"I was surprised when it turned out he wasn't..."
Well he pet her with his wings a little as they flew yes.
::I dont' know what to do... clearly.::
He pouted a little yes. That sucked. She would really like it there. And he didn't being away from her now.
Re: Egypt
* * *
It would be easier if she could just...be a crow and forget about being a person to get better but she knew that wouldn't work either. Just...yeah.
::We'll talk,:: Ixi sighed. ::You're fristrated, you're not reaching her?::
Re: Egypt
"I believe you." he noted.
::Yes...:: He sighed.
Re: Egypt
* * *
::Try...knocking politely and not with vamp powers? Gotta admit, it's really sensible to protect against vampires.::
Re: Egypt
"Yes." he nodded.
::I'm not there to knock...::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::With your head you dork. Like you knock when you're trying to be polite with Eora or I!::
Re: Egypt
"You mean as vampires?"
Oh... right. Facepalm yes... he tried that.
::Sometimes I'm too literal.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::Yeeeah, that's why I poke you.::
There was a loooong moment of nothing before finally a ::...yes?::
Re: Egypt
"Most of them don't know and those that do are in my house."
::Hi... I'm sorry, I didn't think much about the fact that here... notes aren't... really a thing. Uhm…::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...ah. You seem...very far away. You ran...far.::
Re: Egypt
"Well... it doesn't have much of a choice."
::Not running, I am... a vampire. I want to come get you so badly. Its warm and there's rain...::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...it felt like...:: running. But...::you're a death walker?::
Re: Egypt
"That's not what I mean..." He snorted.
::Ah... no Red, more blood, balance between life and death, not Black, that's death. I was infected with Black before coming here and have been working to change it to red. And that finished earlier. Wasn't a plan to end it just there but uh... I kept wanting to bite you.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...that...would not have gone well,:: she admitted quietly. ::All the courts are death walkers. The colors shift where they may work....here.:: Yes, what temples and the like. But...
...she had no idea how to handle having slept with someone who wished her blood.
Re: Egypt
"I don't restrict my people. I do make normal humans feel a bit... wary around my borders. There's rumors sure but it keeps humans from coming in and causing as many problems. We don't attack them indiscriminately, we appreciate the same consideration."
Jaeger... wilted quite dramatically yes. ::I... see. We're... not but if that's... truly how you feel... I will, ah... leave you be. I am... sorry.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...what did I say wrong?:: she sighed. ::That is the term here. That is...truth?::
Re: Egypt
"There... really aren't those things here? We... try."
::No, but I understand why people think that. There's very large differences. Hell, some reds are healers even. Whites are more into... mutual pleasures and can actually poison themselves if its not mutual.::
::I should have told you... then you wouldn't be feeling... I don't know I can feel... I don't know. I'm sorry... then you could have avoided … soiling yourself with me... I'm so sorry...::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::No, no, they chose the term? Blacks speak with the words of Anubis, shadow walkers. Reds hold life and death entwined, White accepted the prices of life?:: Um?
::....no. I...I just thought it was....nice. not a meal, I am sorry to be foolish.::
Re: Egypt
"We do yes." He nodded.
::It wasn't a meal... its... so much more than that.::
He was shaking now.
Re: Egypt
* * *
::How...far away are you?:: she asked softly. ::Please, I can tell you're shaking.::
Re: Egypt
"I'm sure. I have... odd memories from your son."
::I'm in Japan.::
