The time will come...
Who: Any
When: The height of Egyptian civilization.
What: Saving Elora's life.
Elora stretched her wings to the sky and yawned, staring
upward; it was such a brilliantly blue sky...clean and empty of anything she was used to. This was the first day she'd managed to be on her feet; time travel was hard on a body, especially as far back as they'd gone. She was honestly shocked her mother had managed to be up and BUILD A TEMPLE prior...
...granted it was Dahlia. The woman managed miracles on short notice. It would be intimidating if it wasn't so useful honestly.
Egypt.
Land of sands and...green lush plant life. They had arrived before the death cult had poisoned the Nile Valley; all the better honestly. She wouldn't do well in a dead land. Not after her mate had attacked her no...
The scars were a silvery river down her left side. Monstrous, painful...gods it had hurt. She idly traced fingers down the scars and watched people mill beyond the walls. He was here; somewhere. Her mate. Mother had promised and it made her...breathe again. She'd been dying they said, hence the extreme measures. Sh just say it as...and extension. A brief, clean moment between nightmares. She'd had a lot of those recently. Ever since being bitten her mind was...full of darker things.
But the light didn't hurt.
Gods the sun didn't hurt and she took that as a good sign.
"We taught you the language while you slept," Markux noted softly behind her. "We all learned. Here we can...find a better way."
"...thank you father," she breathed, still staring up at the sun. "If I fail..."
"You won't child. We won't lose you."
She...really wished they'd face facts. That they'd focus on her twin yet...here they were. "I'll try. Jaeger's going to hate it..."
"So he's told us," Markux agreed quietly.
"...does he hate me?"
"Never dear."
She wasn't certain she believed him honestly but she let it go for now as she aired her wings. "People will be confused."
"Let them be," Markux chuckled softly. "We're good at making people listen anyway."
"I'm sorry to have scared you."
"Never dear, just keep breathing," he smiled, touching her hair. "And be with Corvus when we say hello to to the people?"
...ah. "Of course." How not? This was Egypt after all, animal mixes...were a good thing.

Re: Egypt
"Orientation is quite necessary." He noted dryly.
::I accepted it because you needed their full attention.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::I am going to shake you. So much. When I don't need to kill something.:: Because she was not touching her brother when fear anger could bleed into true violence.
Re: Egypt
"Few hours to a day if he's been doing the homework." He noted. "And then... well about as much as you do. Perhaps a little longer since I have to explain how mates change the game."
::This suited me more than black court or white court. White court ... guy? was nice but more Ixi's speed. You reverbed back through us hard that night. We took what we could so you wouldn't have to be that when you woke up. I certainly won't apologize for it, and I doubt Ixi will either.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
Gods why hadn't they just let her die? She'd have preferred that to infecting her siblings and making everyone miserable in the past. ::How do you not hate me?::
Re: Egypt
"Red likely better than black." He noted.
::Because you're our sister and honestly this doesn't change much for us. Adds some dietary requirements for me... Ixi… didn't change at all. For me, needing to wear sunscreen and drink blood every once in a while is worth still having a sister for me.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::You hate it here. You both had to...leave everything and it's...I can't handle this right now. I need to ...I'm going to shut down again if I'm not careful.::
Re: Egypt
"That would probably be best."
::No I was being quite... juvenile and not adjusting well. Things are fine here... could even be good if I don't fuck it up.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::I need to go kill something. I have too much adrenaline left from the chase and I can't...I can't fix...I an't fix anything I need to go.::
Re: Egypt
'She has been the best thing for me." He nodded.
::...I'm sorry.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::Not your fault. NOT.:: At all. Hers. Very much hers. ::I'll come back. I'll be back...soon okay?::
Re: Egypt
"She seems to have." He nodded. "How did you know she was mine?"
He nodded. ::Okay.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...should...I bring anything back for you?::
Re: Egypt
"...Well shit."
::Hmm... blood maybe. I'm supposed feed often in the first bit so I'm less likely to rampage.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...right. Okay. I'll take this cup.:: Yup.
Re: Egypt
"So I killed her? Does she know?"
::Thank you...::
::Ixi. The ghost is up.::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::Don't leave,:: she asked softly, launching into the night and streaking past Corvus.
::Mmmm, told you it'd be sooner rather than later.::
Re: Egypt
"Thank you. I suppose you know about your other child then?"
::Won't.:: he promised.
::At least things went smoother for you?::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::Good. Dad....dad do you want to hunt?:: he could...keep her in line if she went over?
::True, but then I was near indistinguishable from white anyway,:: Ixi sighed. ::You got laid, how was that? Did you say goodbye properly before you ended up wherever you are?::
Re: Egypt
"My friend really likes Ixi." He chuckled. "Does he go bad in the future too?"
::I will come find you if you're gone too long.::
::I left her a note. Though... this place would be perfect for her... I wish I'd brought her now...::
He could try... reaching her yes. ::Orchid?::
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...okay.:: Little scary to go out alone when she felt all splinters inside but she'd...focus on killing something yes.
Oh, ouch. ::...that's a bad way to end a first night you actually enjoyed,:: Ixi sighed. ::Very. And moving her out of her country might be a little...fast. Just saying. Good luck?::
He...didn't really get a response but the small vine that had stayed tangled in his hair was blooming?
Re: Egypt
"Yes. Ah, he's... very laid back."
::Would you like me to? I can't tell if you asked because you wanted me there or because you felt like you should ask me.::
::I can feel you facepalming... I … didn't want to wake her up... should I have? Not moving her out... visiting. I have to be here for a few days probably.::
He tried to covey where he was was… very moist and humid? It had started to rain?
Re: Egypt
* * *
::...I think it's...a bad idea to be alone right now. Very.:: At least she was honest about the fact?
::It's kind of the equivalent of 'gee that was fun but eh more important things now bye' you know? It's...callous?:: May be the best way to put it? ::Plus notes are not common in this time and she may not think to look for one?::
Ohhhh....rain. He really wanted that little vine to grow and stretch through all his hair right?
Re: Egypt
"Yes. Ixi was a white without the infection before." He nodded.
::Alright, I'll come.:: Corvus smiled following after her.
::Shit... you're right.:: Fuck now he was worried yes. ::Should I go to her?:: He felt like he could? Or hey... he followed the tendrils back and.... offered a gate? Heeey. There was something to be said for having access to some of the covens power.
He touched the little vine yes. He liked it.
Re: Egypt
* * *
She wasn't smiling, no, she looked more haunted than anything, but it was....easy enough to trace a scent of injury to a yearling water deer?
::That would make things worse right now I think, popping back up suddenly. You need to think out an apology to a goddess you know?::
The vine lined his hair. HE WAS NEVER GOING TO HAVE VINE FREE HAIR AGAIN HAH. As for a portal though, it...hid something. Something burning and strong with a sound like slithering leaves. Protections on the temple probably since the strands weren't moving THROUGH a red on premises now?
Re: Egypt
"I was surprised when it turned out he wasn't..."
Well he pet her with his wings a little as they flew yes.
::I dont' know what to do... clearly.::
He pouted a little yes. That sucked. She would really like it there. And he didn't being away from her now.
