The time will come...

Who: Any
When: The height of Egyptian civilization.
What: Saving Elora's life.

Elora stretched her wings to the sky and yawned, staring
upward; it was such a brilliantly blue sky...clean and empty of anything she was used to. This was the first day she'd managed to be on her feet; time travel was hard on a body, especially as far back as they'd gone. She was honestly shocked her mother had managed to be up and BUILD A TEMPLE prior...

...granted it was Dahlia. The woman managed miracles on short notice. It would be intimidating if it wasn't so useful honestly.

Egypt.

Land of sands and...green lush plant life. They had arrived before the death cult had poisoned the Nile Valley; all the better honestly. She wouldn't do well in a dead land. Not after her mate had attacked her no...

The scars were a silvery river down her left side. Monstrous, painful...gods it had hurt. She idly traced fingers down the scars and watched people mill beyond the walls. He was here; somewhere. Her mate. Mother had promised and it made her...breathe again. She'd been dying they said, hence the extreme measures. Sh just say it as...and extension. A brief, clean moment between nightmares. She'd had a lot of those recently. Ever since being bitten her mind was...full of darker things.

But the light didn't hurt.

Gods the sun didn't hurt and she took that as a good sign.

"We taught you the language while you slept," Markux noted softly behind her. "We all learned. Here we can...find a better way."

"...thank you father," she breathed, still staring up at the sun. "If I fail..."

"You won't child. We won't lose you."

She...really wished they'd face facts. That they'd focus on her twin yet...here they were. "I'll try. Jaeger's going to hate it..."

"So he's told us," Markux agreed quietly.

"...does he hate me?"

"Never dear."

She wasn't certain she believed him honestly but she let it go for now as she aired her wings. "People will be confused."

"Let them be," Markux chuckled softly. "We're good at making people listen anyway."

"I'm sorry to have scared you."

"Never dear, just keep breathing," he smiled, touching her hair. "And be with Corvus when we say hello to to the people?"

...ah. "Of course." How not? This was Egypt after all, animal mixes...were a good thing.

It... tossed her back out with a tsk yes. It didn't need her. They were soon gone anyway taking Jaeger with them.

::What's going on?:: Corvus hissed. Jaeger was.... very far now.

::I'm tracing him.:: Because they could block a LOT but not the fact she was his twin now. ::On me, he's a RED now. Surprise. Someone's retrieving him!::

Jaeger blinked standing in some kind of dwelling yes. He wasn't sure where he was but it didn't seem so bad. He yawned and then accepted a cup someone was handing him. There were moans coming from another room. The woman didn't sound like she was in pain.... far from it?

He moved away from the room to sit somewhere else to sip what was in the cup. Oh that was goooood!

It was a bit later when someone, came out of the back room.

"You're earlier than expected." He noted tasting blood off a knife and then cleaning it.

Yeah, well, taking someone with and an angry bloodcrow counterpart was...never a good idea. The whole room rattled when Elora hit the roof, hissing dangerously?

"Ohhh, company..." Anaa mused softly, coming up behind her mate to slip an arm around his waist. "Shall I see her?"

"Yes please." He nodded kissing her newest cut yes.

He took a bit of wire and wrapped that around Jaeger's neck loosely.

Jaeger stepped back a bit.

"Still boy." Shinose snorted.

"Don't tease lover," Ana asked softly, shivering. "You've...people who need explanations, don't forget, reading minds isn't theirs..." because her Shinose could be bit...autocratic.

Still, going up to talk to Elora? Yessss. Which resulted in...

"Do NOT threaten my brother," Elora growled,stepping in as Ana chuckled, glad to be off the roof.

"No one is threatening anyone." Shinose noted sitting at his table sipping tea?

"You have wires around his throat, he's not your creature to leash." EVER.

"Training wheels, that's all." He snorted. "New vampires can sometimes lose thier heads. Better to be soon unconscious than doing something you would regret."

"Partial, and it is not your concern." Not without explanation or asking in the least.

"Partial? Not hardly." He noted. "Your brother is fully red and of course it is my concern, he is of my line. I'll not harbor monsters in my line. He knew this and agreed in his oath."

"My brother is not a monster," she growled. "And-" she froze, feathers on end as Dahlia touched her shoulder.

"Mmm, good to see sending your mate back to you helped," Dahlia noted, stepping around her daughter's wings.

"Hmm? I see. Thank you." He noted.

Jaeger looked to his mother. "You're here."

"Of course. It led to ideas that we're later relevent," she noted. "Yes, Jaeger. I came with Corvus when you we're pulled away. Please sit outside with your sister as I talk to Shinose."

"Why?" He frowned.

"Because I asked," she noted simply. "And because this conversation may touch on private matters that are not my story to tell."

Jaeger sighed and took another cup before going outside.

Dahlia watched him leave then shifted to give Shinose her proper attention again, "simply taking him was quite rude.

Elora was...a miserable little ball huddled under her wings outside? Yup.

"He knew I would when he ate the last one. If you didn't know that wasn't my fault."

Jaeger frowned sitting down next to her. "Elora?"

"Mmmm, and that gave you future knowledge at least pertaining to him?" She sighed. "Protective family is a note you'd think you'd flag for yourself."

"Don't touch me...please..." She shivered.

"If he wished to keep it a secret that's not my concern."

Jaeger frowned and got up to leave her then. This was why he hadn't told any of them.

"It is his family's concern, so here we are. Talk to me about the situation please."

::Don't go! don't...don't. I'm just going to cry if anyone touches me right now.::

"He's a red now, instead of a black." He noted.

::I'm sorry...:: He sighed.

"That is good to know, but he's not a proper manifest," she pointed out.

::He turned you off. You were gone, in your own body you were GONE.::

"And what would be proper hmm?" He countered. "He is a red with all of their needs, a virus stronger and more resilient than the black he was infected with. What more would you want him to be?"

::No,:: He sighed. ::That was my fault, I ate too many at once, it overrode my personality for a little bit but I'm back now.:: He offered her what was left in his cup?
